This past summer Camp Ahuvim had the prevlidge to be part of Camp MaNaVu.
At the Grand Banquet Rabbi Yechiel Spero the head counselor,
spoke about the experince of having Ahuvim in MaNaVu.



Camp Ahuvim is a special needs sleep-a-way camp in Camp Rayim, (Parksville, New York) for children and young adults with mild to moderate Autism and Aspergers Syndrome. Campers enjoy traditional camp and recreational activities in a warm and loving atmosphere. A structured environment, individualized attention and professionally trained staff are what make Camp Ahuvim the ideal setting for the Autistic child.        

At Camp Ahuvim we seek to maximize the development of each individual's potential by providing the full range of recreational activities. As a result, these special children gain skills beyond the scope of parental expectations while enjoying regular activities in a stress free environment. Living with the campers 24 hours a day, with their determination and love, our counselors which are specially trained are able to provide a total nurturing environment in which the campers can thrive. It really is “The most loveable place in the world.”

Camp Ahuvim was created to give autistic children the same fun and camping experience that their siblings have.

Coupled with a fun and exciting atmosphere, Camp Ahuvim aims to ensure that the summer remains a productive learning experience, continuing and building off of the years accomplishments.
